Mercer Education (ME) tutoring and educational enrichment centers in Bellevue and Seattle offer private and group classes all year long.

Holidays and Schedule Changes

Mercer Education observes the following holidays:

New Year’s Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day (1st Monday in September)
Thanksgiving Day (4th Thursday in November)
Christmas Day (December 25)

Mercer Education has students from many school districts and may conduct classes when other schools have holidays or are on break. ME is closed from December 24th through January 1st and during the last week of June every year (exact dates vary). Please refer to your invoice or contact the school if you are not sure whether the school is open.

How often do classes begin?

ME offers private and small group classes year round, seven (7) days a week, from 9am to 9pm. Students can enroll at any time and start classes on a “first come-first serve” basis throughout the year. Tuition is based on 2-month blocks of pre-scheduled classes (January-February, March-April, etc.) Students beginning classes after the start of a 2-month session will be responsible only for those classes scheduled to occur after their enrollment date. Private classes generally meet once or twice a week, though we can arrange more frequent classes when necessary. Most group-class students attend a specific class once a week throughout the year. Group classes require a minimum of three students and are limited to six students, so joining such a class depends upon the availability of spaces. If spaces are available, students may enroll in group classes at any time and do not need to wait until the start of the next 2-month session. If we cannot start a class at the time you contact us, we add you to our waiting lists, and we will do our best to fit you in as soon as we can.

* Private and once-a-week group classes are also available throughout the summer; please contact ME about scheduling.

** We do our best to schedule the Advanced SAT Verbal Camp and College Counseling and Admissions Camp so that all applicants can attend, and in the past we have always been able to accommodate applicants to these programs. However, given our students’ busy schedules and limited availability, to facilitate scheduling we require that applicants to those camps complete a “Student Availability Form” listing ALL times at which they are available. Schedules for these two camps are typically finalized in the week prior to their commencement.
